TOP CHEF: College Edition

Honestly --- if there was a Top Chef: College Edition, we'd take the cake (so to speak).

FEASTING...........

FEAST #1
Vegetable skewers in soy sauce & black pepper marinade - zucchini, peppers, mushrooms, squash, & red onions

Turkey cheese burger on garlic sourdough bread with grilled onions, pesto, and mango salsa (and yes, the pesto and mango salsa were homemade)

We also made deviled eggs for our appetizer, which were to die for, but unfortunately we devoured them before I remembered to take a photograph of them.

FEAST #2
Elena's baby.......finished apple pie, ready to be baked!

Dinner party! Classy, right? If you pay close attention, you will notice that we're eating on top of a beer pong table. Haha!

Nectarine, tomato, and walnut salad. Baguette with dip. Breaded eggplant and zucchini. Pesto pasta with chicken and apple sausage, shrimp, and zucchini - topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese. Sangria and red wine.

Cheers! "TO FOOD!"

And for dessert........apple pie à la mode.

I love the sense of intimacy that goes into preparing your own meal - creating it from start to finish, and then sharing it with the ones you love. Food truly brings people together.
